Kenya has been ranked the 25th most corrupt country in Africa, according to Transparency International’s annual study. This is the lowest score since 2012. According to the public service Corruption Perception Index (CPI) study, the majority of third-world countries are dealing with corruption. This is becoming more prevalent by the day.
Each country’s score is based on at least three data sources culled from 13 different surveys and studies on corruption. Several renowned agencies, like the World Bank and the World Economic Forum, collect these data sources. Experts and businesspeople then assigned a score on a scale of 0–100, with the least corrupt countries receiving a score of 100 and the most corrupt receiving a score of zero.
The Kenya corruption profile worsened from its 2020 score of 31 to a score of 30 in the latest CPI. This makes it worse than it was in the 2020 study. Kenya’s lowest score since 2012 is thirty-one. The CPI has previously scored 28 (2019), 27 (2018), 28 (2017), 26 (2016), 25 (2015), 25 (2014), 27 (2013), and 27 (2012). (2012).

Botswana, Rwanda, Mauritius, and Namibia are the best-performing countries on the continent. Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, and Norway are the least corrupt, according to the study, while Afghanistan, North Korea, Yemen, and Venezuela are the most corrupt.
