Kimani Ngunjiri Finally Reveals The Cause Of His Fallout With UDA Governor Aspirant Susan Kihika

Bahati MP has accused UDA governor aspirant Susan Kihika of sabotaging the party. Kimani has cited that Susan has been spearheading malpractice in party primaries, in a press conference on Friday, June 3.

This has prompted Kimani to say that supporting Kihika’s gubernatorial bid will be his choice. The MP stated that Kihika’s activities had caused numerous DP Ruto loyalists to run as independent candidates.

“Not even the DP can make me vote for someone.” I am neither a drunk nor a lunatic. Allow us to make our own decisions on who will lead us. There have been instances where nominations have been botched, leaving persons to run as independent candidates. You cannot compel me to support you or abuse me in order for me to do so,” he remarked.

Ngunjiri further revealed that the party attempted to negotiate a truce between him and the Senator, but this didn’t yield any fruits.

“Who in Nakuru defends the DP better than me? They are only looking for votes and are not campaigning for Ruto. According to the DP, I was the county’s party chairman. Some people claim to know more than I do, although they only arrived yesterday. I am an elder,” the MP said

Ngunjiri made the comments days after allegations surfaced that he had endorsed incumbent governor Lee Kinyanjui of the Jubilee Party for re-election.

Is Ngunjiri supporting Lee Kinyanjui?

He indicated that he did not support Kinyanjui’s candidacy. He stated, however, that he would not back Kihika since she lacks respect for him.

“We must respect Lee since he is our friend and the governor.”

I’ve endorsed her on numerous occasions, but has she ever endorsed me? She came here the other day and told my constituents to vote for whoever they wanted as their leader.”

Kihika’s feud with Ngunjiri raged for the better part of yesterday, with the Senator urging her followers to vote no on Ngunjiri.

Cracks have emerged inside the county’s Democratic Party in recent weeks. With other officials blaming Kihika for meddling with the party’s activities.
