Lake Victoria covers approximately 59,947 square kilometers. It is Africa’s largest lake by surface and is shared by three African countries, namely Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, with the latter owning the largest part. Lake Victoria is also the source of the River Nile, which flows through approximately 10 African countries and Drains into the Mediterranean sea. It is said to be the longest river in the world but has been in contention. Lake Victoria is geologically about 400,000 years old. According to the governor’s camp, It is unique in that one can watch the sunset without being on the coast.
